October 24-26, 2008 We would like to thank the Beta Chapter at UNC for hosting the Fall 2008 Delta Sigma Iota convention. We had a great time and would like thank all the brothers which came out and helped make this event a great success.
October 2 , 2008 - Greek Life Awards We are pleased to announce that Abdullah Zafar was nominated for the fraternity man of the year. The Gamma chapter was also nominated for council involvement, financial management, and service/philanthropy. We won two of the four awards that we were nominated for. The two awards were outstanding service/philanthropy, and outstanding council involvement.
August 22, 2008 - DSI/IND Mixer The Gentlemen of Delta Sigma Iota Fraternity, Inc. and the Honorable brothers of Iota Nu Delta Fraternity, Inc. along with DizzE Productions had a successful mixer at the Haven Lounge. We would like to thank all the people who came out to this event.
April 7, 2008 - Leaders The brothers would like to congratulate Abdullah Zafar for becoming the new All Greek Council (AGC) President, Mukunda Singh for becoming the new Collaborative Greek Council (CGC) Vice President, and Chad Morris for becoming the new CGC treasurer. These brothers have shown tremendous growth in their leadership skills and are helping to achieve our goal of "becoming leaders...one brother at a time."
March 22, 2008 - Virsa Punjab Da The brothers along with the Sikh Student Association hosted a very successful bhangra competition at the BTI Center. We would like to thank all of the volunteers and other people that helped make this show possible. The first place prize went to Gabroo Toronto Allstars (GTA) and second place prize went to Duke Dhamaka. We would like to thank the following teams for coming out to VPD: Bankian Naaran, UNC Bhangra Elite, Duke Dhamaka, Gabroo Toronto Allstars, Chowl Bhangra, West Virginia Bhangra, and Wolfpack Bhangra.
March 15, 2008 - CGC Service Event The brothers along with other CGC fraternities and sororities did a service event in which they helped pick up trash and clean Blue Ridge Rd. and Hutton St. / Beryl Rd. in Raleigh.
February 23, 2008 - Park Renovation The brothers along with Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. did a joint service event for the Raleigh Parks System. The brothers of both fraternities helped to clean up a historic site so the Raleigh Parks System could build a future park at the location.
February 13, 2008 - Heart 2 Heart The brothers along with Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. hosted a fundraiser called Heart 2 Heart in order to raise money on Valentine's Day for the women at the Women's Center in downtown Raleigh.
February 9, 2008 - Chapter Status The brothers are proud to announce that the Gamma Colony has officially received its Chapter status. For the past 2 years, the brothers at the Gamma Chapter have shown tremendous growth and improvement and have earned the status through their hard work and dedication.
January 25, 2008 – Raising the Bar Mixer The brothers hosted a successful mixer with a great turnout. We would like to thank everyone who came out, and hope everyone has a great semester. December 12, 2007 - Brotherhood Potluck Dinner In light of the holidays, the brothers got together to share a dinner to wind down the semester. The dishes were prepared by the brothers themselves and consisted of everything from quesadillas to chicken parmesan. Superlatives were also presented and highlighted each brother’s personality. It was a great way to end the semester!
November 21, 2007 - Family Feud Football So at the past chapter meeting, there were some words exchanged by some of the brothers. In light of football season, the NIBs (newly inducted brothers) suggested a football game and were quoted saying, "The old school can't handle the new school". With that said, the brothers took this to the field, old school vs. new school.

South Asian Awareness Week - Nov. 17-22nd
