Introduction

On the 15th of August 2000, a vision was born and placed in action by 5 men at Pennsylvania State University. The vision which was to serve the community, carry leadership and propel academics is some of the few things Delta Sigma Iota is all about. This vision has been furthered to various different universities and on May 8th 2008, 8 men came together and vowed to carry out the mission. The mission is simple to hold three pillars the fraternity was found on. They are service, education and unity. These men, now brothers of Delta Sigma Iota vowed to carry these principles of DSI to the highest potential, thus creating a colony at Newark.

Delta Sigma Iota Newark, a chapter of elite young men who believe and share the same principles as the Founding Chapter of Pennsylvania State University. Through the course of time, brothers at Newark have united to a greater degree and have benefited in greater ways than imaginable. Our whole mission at Newark as modest young individuals is to make a difference in our community. We want to impact Newark and the people of Newark and with it enjoy our lives as being brothers of Delta Sigma Iota.
