November 15th/16th: Flag Football Tournament:

Delta Sigma Iota will host a flag football tournament the November 15th/16th weekend. For more information about registering for the annual flag football tournament, please go to the Events page. 

October 4th: SAALT Be the Change Day

Be the Change, formerly known as National Gandhi Day of Service, is an annual national day of service to inspire and foster civic management through volunteerism and community service. Every year, hundreds of individuals participate in community service nationwide in the spirit of Gandhi's most famous quote, "Be the Change you wish to see in the world." Delta Sigma Iota is one of the national hosts of Be the Change, and Delta Sigma Iota at UNC-CH will partner with other South Asian organizations on campus to bring Be the Change to UNC-CH. We will volunteer at Food Bank, Adopt a Highway, and Habitat for Humanity. If you would like participate in any of these events, please email Nitin Krishnan at krishnan@email.unc.edu.

September 11th: UNC over RUTGERS 44-12:

Delta Sigma Iota held an event for the UNC vs Rutgers game at Morrison Game Room. Thanks to all of the brothers and rushees who came out. We would also like to thank the UNC Football team for beating Rutgers.

 

September 6th: Ronald McDonald House:

The brothers of Delta Sigma Iota went to the Chapel Hill Ronald McDonald house and provided the residents with brunch. We wold also like to thank all the rushees that came out to the community service event.

   

Fall 2008 Rush:

Fall Rush for Delta Sigma Iota begins on August 22nd and will last for three weeks. If you are interested 
in joining our fraternity, we encourage you to attend some of the rush events and meet the brothers.

3/1/2008-3/2/2008: Dsi Cobra Classic:

The first annual DSI Cobra Classic, March 1 to March 2, was a great success. DSI would like to thank
all of the teams that came out and supported the Oxfam Bangladesh Cyclone Relief Fund. DSI was 
able to raise a few hundred dollars for the Oxfam Cyclone Relief Fund. For more information about

2/22/2008-2/23/2008: Dance Marathon:

DSI thanks Vishal Dhandha, Fasial Hussain, Nitin Krishnan, Dev Patel and Sagar Rathie for supporting
Dance Marathon by participating all 24 hours! Thanks to the dedication of fellow dancers and 
volunteers, the Dance Marathon Committee was able to raise $321,938.53 for the For the Kids Fund!
The For the Kids Fund is a fund that gives money directly to the patients and families of 
North Carolina Children's Hospital. To learn more about Dance Marathon, visit the official site at
