Greek Awards
Delta Sigma Iota was awarded with the Greek Alliance Council Chapter of the Year award for the school year. The brothers have shown a lot of dedication and drive over the past year to become the best they can and to help Delta Sigma Iota become the best fraternity in their council. In addition, Delta Sigma Iota achieved the highest GPA in their council and were also awarded for that. Keep up the good work and look for much more in the following year.
Fraternity Convocation
Beta Chapter would like to thank Alpha Chapter at Pennsylvania State University for hosting a very fun and informative convocation on April 10-12, 2009. All of the brothers from Beta Chapter enjoyed the presence of brothers from all chapters and the hospitality that was provided from the host.
Eta Class
On April 4, 2009 the Eta Class at Beta Chapter formed. This class consists of two hardworking individuals, who we have seen much from. These individuals are David Lobo and Akhil Muthigi. Congratulations to these guys and look forward to seeing a lot more from them.
Relay For Life
Delta Sigma Iota would like to give thanks to many of it's brothers for participating in Relay for Life. They raised money to help cancer research and walked many hours to show they care for all the people who have battled and still battle cancer.
Dance Marathon 2009
Delta Sigma Iota would like to congratulate Sameer Kashyap, Faisal Hussain, Nisarg Desai, Saket Nigam, Nayan Patel, Anirudh Gowd and Prashant Angara for participating in the 2009 UNC Dance Marathon. The brothers not only danced for 24 straight hours but also raised over $1200 to help benefit the UNC Children's Hospital.
2009 Cobra Classic Basketball Tournament
Delta Sigma Iota would like to thank everybody that came out to the 2nd Annual Cobra Classic Charity Basketball Tournament. Everybody had a good time as all the money raised through the tournament went to Jamkhed, a charity that helps women all across India.
Spring 2009 Rush
